Freenotes Repair and Refurbishment Services
All Freenotes musical instruments are designed to withstand the elements and live outside all year in rain, snow, hail and (sometimes) the baking sun! However, we cannot make them totally indestructible and on occasions physical damage occurs whether accidental or deliberate; caused by misuse, negligence, impact, freak weather or other ‘acts of God’ or vandalism. But that doesn't mean the end of your Freenotes instrument - product refurbishment and repair services are available and can be quoted upon request.
The Freenotes Repair Service.
Call and tell us what has happened so we can discuss a plan of action, we may ask to see some photos to help us decide what needs to be done and be able to quote for the repairs. We can then arrange for any replacement parts to be sent directly to you or post the appropriate packaging for you to return the entire instrument to Freenotes. Very occasionally, we may have to visit the instruments in situ to carry out the work required. We promise to deal with all repairs cost-effectively, quickly and with minimal disruption.
If you need to return equipment to us for repair, please first email our service team info@freenotes.eu and we will supply a written quotation for the cost of the repair and estimated delivery time.
The Freenotes Refurbishment Service
Outdoor musical instruments take quite a bashing - they stand outside all year and are played & enjoyed daily by their owners, so it is not surprising that after several years the instruments may become in need of a little T.L.C. To ensure your Freenotes are kept in tip top playing condition and look good for many more years to come, we offer a nationwide collection service for Freenotes products in need of service or refurbishment.
Refurbishment works include upgrading any cables and fixings with new improved stainless steel ones, re-lacing notes which may have become slack over time, oiling the notes, replacing beaters or beater cables, repainting the instruments which may have become faded or scratched over time - whatever is required to get your outdoor musical instrument back to you looking as good as new.
The images below show a School in Hertfordshire. Their outdoor musical instruments were installed over 3 years ago. They called Freenotes to repair an instrument following some unfortunate vandalism at the school. We were then asked if we could refurbish the other instruments which were showing a little wear and tear. Take a look at the before and after photos.
We re-laced the Flying Amadinda using new thicker cables and stainless
fixings. We then attached new upgraded tethered beaters and oiled the
notes.
The drums were repainted and the lids secured with new stainless fixings.
The vandalised Swirl was rebuilt and new thicker cables were used and new upgraded tethered beaters attached.
The base of the Manta Ray was cleaned and stained. We upgraded the
cables, used new stainless steel fixings and upgraded tethered beaters.
We strive to minimise the time taken to complete the refurbishment and
return your instrument to you quickly. For further information or to
arrange for a quote for refurbishment, please contact us on 01730 233111
